All Trail Runner Free lights have the power cord integrated into the headband. Silva calls this Free Technology – a convenient headlamp experience without the distractions or tangles of wires.
Hybrid battery case included
The hybrid battery case can carry the included Silva rechargeable hybrid battery or 3 x AAA batteries (not included). This means you can use the AAA batteries as a backup if the rechargeable battery runs out of power. The case has comfortable grip surfaces and an integrated red rear safety light - for extra visibility. The Trail Runner Free 2 Hybrid comes with a rechargeable battery - designed to be used with the hybrid battery case. This compact battery is a great choice if you want a truly lightweight lamp. The battery has an integrated battery indicator and can be charged anywhere using the included USB cable.
Individual light distribution
The 2nd generation Trail Runner Free has been optimized for cooling with a more powerful heatsink, allowing the lamp to produce up to 550 lumens (depending on battery type) while maintaining comfort and low weight. All three lamps in this series feature Silva Intelligent Light. This means that the lamp is equipped with dual beam technology, which has light settings that are perfect for running. Silva's unique combination of high and low beams reduces head vibration, providing better light control, better balance, less fatigue and increased speed.
Comfort in every detail
Despite the focus on technological breakthroughs, Silva has not forgotten the importance of weight optimization. Every part of this lamp has been compressed, the lamp unit weighs only 61 grams (without batteries). The lamp is perfectly balanced, smoothly adjustable and has a flat, soft, textile cable that does not tangle. The headband is soft, but strong enough, and there is a silicone cord inside to keep the lamp in place. The battery can be worn comfortably on the headband or kept warm in a pocket using the included textile extension cable.
